Nai Ton Beach

Today I went driving around the north part of the island because i had a meeting at Trisara. Trisara is one of those elite stop offs where you pay 800 - 5000 USD per night to stay. Its just a minute or two from Nai Ton beach. Oddly enough though I’ve been here 5 years, I’d not previously been there. Its really a charming area of Phuket. The beach has lots of shade trees and though there were people there, it’s not really very crowded. Definitely when i get time i’ll go back and spend an afternoon there. A road runs along parallel to the beach and has a lot of various shops on the opposite side. Likely some decent food and other amenities. Don’t know enough yet to rate it but it looks nice.

Laem Singh Beach

I’m not sure how this thing is supposed to be spelled because i’ve seen it spelled several ways.  Leam Sing, Laem Singh, Lim Sing etc….

None the less, this is a fantastic beach.  Nice rocks on one side, beautiful sand, and some great restaurants.  There’s shade too if your looking to not get too burned and still enjoy the ocean.

I heard that its been referred to as the Italian beach because it’s popular among Italians.  Rightly so, the Italian food at the restaurants is quite good.

Recap on features:

  • Good food
  • Smallish beach
  • Shade
  • No road access - you have to walk down a beautiful trail to get there
  • Personal Phuket beach rating = 4.5 out of 5
